Online HR processes are an emerging trend

A staggering 1.3 million jobs were lost at the end of 2020, this is on top of 2.2 million jobs already lost earlier in the year! The employers who survived, are faced with the harsh reality of re-structuring and retrenchments.

A landmark Labour Court Judgment that was heard during lockdown in 2020 has had far-reaching consequences for employers in that virtual retrenchment processes are now legally permitted.

The Judgment will likely set a new precedent which could be extended to include internal disciplinary procedures - a powerful indication that the future is headed online for HR processes.
