Get your Fidelity Fund Certificate before the deadline

Calling all Property Practitioners, it’s time to register! The Registration Notice sent by the Property Practitioners Regulatory Authority (PPRA) on 23 May 2022 informed Property Practitioners that the final date to be registered for a valid Fidelity Fund Certificate (FFC) is now 30 June 2022.

With the implementation of the Property Practitioners Act on the 1st of February 2022, section 47 and 48 of the Act compels Property Practitioners, including its Directors, Members or Trustees, and all employees who act as a Property Practitioner, to obtain and hold a valid FFC.

To make the registration process smoother for Property Practitioners, we have created a guided action plan of the steps and information required to get your FFC:

Important note: Once you have registered for your FFC as outlined in the steps above, you are able to register on the PPRA Portal to manage your FFC and your profile.

Does this apply if you already have a valid certificate? It applies to people who need to get their 2022 Fidelity Fund Certificate. So new certificates or those that have not yet renewed for 2022.

We urge you to avoid the consequences of operating without a Fidelity Fund Certificate and register now. Operating without a valid Fidelity Fund Certificate can result in not being entitled to commission on rendered services, and other offences listed in terms of section 48(5) of the Act.

For registration queries, registration documents, and questions regarding banking details, please contact the PPRA directly at https://theppra.org.za/
